About the event
7th BRICS Mathematics Conference - Brazil
The BRICS Mathematics Conference is a premier international scientific forum that unites the mathematical communities of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. As a vital institutional space for dialogue, the conference fosters scientific cooperation, strengthens academic ties, and builds joint initiatives across the BRICS nations’ leading universities and research centers.
A Brief History
Established in 2017, the conference operates on a rotating hosting cycle to promote global academic exchange:
- 2017: Inaugural edition in Beijing, China.
- 2018: 2nd edition hosted in Brazil.
- 2019: 3rd edition hosted in Russia.
- 2020: 4th edition hosted by India (virtual).
- 2025: After a brief hiatus, the second cycle began with the 6th edition at Hainan University, China.
As the second cycle continues, Brazil has been distinguished as the host for the 7th BRICS Mathematics Conference, marking a significant milestone in deepening South-South scientific integration.
