Dear Participants,

We would like to share some important updates regarding the event:

  1. Hotel name update
    Please note that the event will take place at the same hotel and same location as previously announced. The only change is that the hotel’s name has been slightly modified: the former “Mareiro Hotel” is now called “Afago Mareiro Hotel”.
  2. Welcome reception
    Right after the end of the activities on Monday afternoon, September 8, there will be a welcome reception at the hotel lounge for all participants.
  3. Transportation from the airport
    To travel from Fortaleza airport to the hotel area around Avenida Beira-Mar, we recommend using taxis or Uber, which operate reliably and efficiently in Fortaleza.
  4. Program update
    There has been a small change in the program. On Thursday morning, the first activity will be a special session in honor of Prof. Maria Aparecida Soares Ruas. On Friday morning, the last plenary talk will be dedicated to Prof. Gonçalo Contreras.
    Further details will be posted on our website during the week.
  5. Rooms for the sessions
    The talks will take place in the following rooms of the Afago Mareiro Hotel:

Third floor: Rooms 6, 7, and 8 (Room 8 will also host the Poster Session)
Basement: Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

  1. Social dinner
    A social dinner will be held on Wednesday, September 10. If you would like to participate, the cost is R$ 70 BRL, to be paid directly to the organizers during event check-in or throughout the day on Tuesday. This fee includes a full buffet and a traditional Brazilian barbecue (rodízio de carnes). Drinks and beverages, however, are not included in this amount, and participants will be responsible for paying for their own drinks directly at the restaurant.
